De quem és?
Year: 2023

De quem és? is a book made in collaboration with Gil Raro, that is the materialization of a collaborative work with the citizens of Fiães, a small village in the north of Portugal. The book is a list of all the different nicknames that the families had over the generations. As time goes by, and the communities that these villages started to become older, these nicknames are becoming now something of the past, this book keeps them. A book by Fera Felina.

All the illustrations were made for the book, based on the idea of a family tree and the nature that surrounds Fiães.

Padrão
Year: 2018

Padrão is a book developed in an art residency in MIEC, Santo Tirso, Portugal. This book was inspired by the museum collection, which contains archaeological finds excavated around Santo Tirso, from different eras in history. One important excavated site is Monte Padrão, a small mountain that is the first high ground since the coast line. As such, it has a rich history of human occupation since ancient times.

This book was created through the archaeological remains at Monte Padrão, and reflects about how time passes and accumulates on coded layers on earth, and how humans relate to that. As time passed folk tales about saints, witchcraft and enchanted lights were told in the surrounding areas. With the excavations that started in the 20th century, its history and details were uncovered and documented. Padrão was created with the help of books, the museum staff and locals that were kind enough to share stories and their knowledge with me.

Leave the space as you found
Year: 2018

Composed of several booklets, Leave the Space as You Found is the catalog of seven brief interventions carried out on the white cube, a small rehearsal space at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. Each booklet exhibits the interventions carried out by two artists each time, all lasting 4 hours and varying in their content. The only condition was that, in the end, the space would remain as it was found.
